Maya Bonhomme is an Honours BA student in History from Gatineau, Quebec, currently based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. Her thesis, supervised by Dr. Shannon McSheffrey, employs historiography and oral history methodologies, including autoethnography, to delve into the history of medicine. She focuses on intergenerational interviews with her grandmother, whose experiences growing up in 20th-century Quebec uncover forgotten and untold narratives about care and medicine in the province. Maya is deeply committed to issues of accessibility in healthcare, particularly where they intersect with feminist and intergenerational perspectives. Additionally, she has a passion for music history, with a special focus on soul music.
