Teeanna Munro (maternal last names: Phillips, King and Taylor) is a storyteller and family archivist from Vancouver, BC. In 1911 her family immigrated to Alberta, Canada as homesteaders from Texas and Oklahoma and eventually moved to Vancouver in 1929. Her family’s heritage has been passed down and preserved through generations through the oral tradition, and love-infused archiving and curation practices. Storytelling and scrapbooking in her family has been for entertainment but also a part of centering themselves in a context that disregarded and negated their experiences. Teeanna now continues this tradition.
