Steven High is Professor of History and co-founder of Concordia University’s Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling. He is an interdisciplinary oral and public historian with a strong interest in transnational approaches to working-class studies, forced migration, and community-engaged research. He has headed a number of major research projects, most notably the prize-winning “Life Stories of Montrealers Displaced by War, Genocide and Other Human Rights Violations,” and is currently leading the transnational SSHRC-funded partnership project “Deindustrialization & the Politics of Our Time.” He was recently awarded a Governor General’s History Award in the Popular Media category.
