Norman Nawrocki is a Montreal author, playwright, actor and musician. He has written seventeen books of fiction and poetry including two novels, CAZZAROLA! Anarchy, Romani, Love, Italy (PM Press, Oakland) and Red Squared Montreal (Black Rose Books, Montreal), a short story collection, The Anarchist & The Devil Do Cabaret (Black Rose Books, Montreal), two novellas and two dozen plays, cabarets and musicals. His work has been translated and published in French and Italian and appears in numerous anthologies (e.g., City Lights, San Francisco, Fernwood Press, Halifax). His novella, Isabelle Walks With Angels (Les Pages Noires, Montreal) was turned into an award winning short film.

Since 1985 he has recorded 36 spoken word and music albums including soundtracks for his books. He performs in literary, spoken word, theatre and music festivals across North America and Europe, produces cultural events in Montreal, and receives occasional support from Arts Councils. He is reviewed in national and international media. About a million people have learned about sex from him through his series of live anti-sexist / queer / trans positive educational sex comedy cabarets. He also lectures across North America and teaches how to use the arts for creative resistance and community organizing. He sometimes teaches at Concordia.
