Marie-Odile Samson is pursuing a Master’s in History at Concordia University. Her thesis is anchored in oral testimonies from Holocaust survivors from the Montreal Holocaust Museum archives, and explores their intimate experiences of displacement and exile in the Soviet Central Asian Republics during the Second World War. She holds a BA in Public History from Concordia University (2021), and also completed a year in the Master’s in Museology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (2022), where she studied museum practice, including conservation, management, interpretation, and curation.
