Lina has worked in the field of education in various capacities – as an university instructor, educator and tutor for high school and elementary school students, workshop facilitator for adult learners, researcher and writer. She is a two-time Concordia graduate with master’s degrees in Educational Studies (2020) and Media Studies (2007). Her research interests concern literacy, alternative forms of education and the cultural and political dynamics of language, particularly as they play out in the field of publishing and in the book as an object. She also has more than a decade of experience working as a copy editor, proofreader and translator in English and French. The photography and audio project that she is developing is called Migrant Libraries (www.migrantlibraries.net).
