Assistante d’exposition
Rachel Milette is an undergraduate student at Concordia University studying History and Art History and will be coordinating an exhibition celebrating COHDS’s 20th anniversary in 2026.
Coming from Moncton, NB, Rachel was drawn to Concordia by COHDS specifically. Having been introduced to oral history through a Canadian Literature class in high school, she immediately fell in love and went home to look up ways to learn more about it as soon as possible, landing in Dr. Lorenzkowski’s Oral Histories of Childhood and Youth class in Winter 2023. She has been a frequent face at COHDS events ever since and was a proud participant of the inaugural Summer Institute in Oral History and Creative Practice.
Rachel has worked in cultural mediation, museum collections, and oral history research since 2021, at Resurgo Place, the Centre des mémoires montréalaises, Montreal City Hall, and at COHDS. She is also a Student Advocacy Assistant for the Concordia Student Union. Her research and coursework centres around museums, history of photography, oral history, and curatorial studies. She hopes that this is the first of many curatorial projects to come.
