Assistant to the Associate Director
Félicité Couëlle-Brunet (she) is currently studying Film Animation at Concordia University, where her research focuses on building hybrid analog-digital instruments for real-time visual performance. Her work explores how handmade animation can be remixed, jammed with, and reinterpreted live through audiovisual interfaces.
Félicité holds a background in VJing and technical production in Montreal’s independent audio-visual scene. They have worked as a machinist, cultural mediator, and video lead at venues including Usine C and MUTEK’s Village Numérique, where they developed a deep interest in the intersections of media theory, installation, and performance.
She is currently developing a visual synthesizer that allows artists to manipulate hand-drawn animations in sync with sound. In summer 2025, Félicité will continue her research through workshops in motion picture film preservation and visual storytelling.
