Dr. Sigwan Thivierge is Anicinabekwe (Algonquin) from Long Point First Nation in Winneway, QC. She is an Assistant Professor in both First Peoples Studies (SCPA) and Linguistics (CMLL). A linguist by training, her research focuses on both theoretical linguistics and language reclamation, and the ways in which linguistic theory and community-based research can inform each other.
