Romy Shoam is a public and oral historian based in Montreal. She completed a Master of Arts in Public History at Carleton University in spring 2026. She is greatly interested in the social history of Montreal and Quebec, both in academic and public education settings. Romy has developed archival and oral history projects at the Montreal Jewish Museum, the MEM – Centre des mémoires Montréalaises, Concordia University, and the Canadian Museum of History. She is a member of the Kitchen Table Collective. Romy currently works at Héritage Montréal and is also an independent museum consultant on oral history projects and exhibitions.
