Every year in April, the Rwandan community in Montreal gathers to commemorate the hundreds of thousands of men, women and children who were murdered during the 1994 genocide. The audio-guided walk follows the commemoration route, from the Berri-UQAM metro station (at the corner of Berri and Ste-Catherine Streets) to the Clock Tower overlooking the St. Lawrence River in the Old Port. This walk will take you through the busy streets of Montreal while being guided by the voices of Montrealers of Rwandan origin who will share their stories with you.

This commemorative audio walk was designed by Steven High, Lisa Ndejuru, and Phil Lichti as part of the Montreal Life Stories project.
