Hellen Mghoi Mshilla is also a former COHDS intern. She holds a Master of Conflict Transformation Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Conflict Management and Peace Studies from Gulu University, a BA in Journalism from the United States International University (USIU-A), and a diploma in Journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, Nairobi Kenya. She also holds a Certificate in Oral History from COHDS. Hellen is currently writing a her proposal for her PhD by research in Uganda Martyrs University, Uganda and hopes to produce oral history projects based on her research. Her research idea is on youth who were born while their mothers were in the captivity of the Lord’s Resistance Army. She also lectures on part time at Gulu University. Her interests are about youth who were born under war circumstances and is passionate about bringing out their adult life stories.
