I am an associate professor in the School of Social Work at McMaster University. Prior to working at McMaster I worked as a sessional instrctor at TMU/Ryerson, U Windsor, York University and held a tenure track position at Trent University. I worked as a social worker in Ontario and Nova Scotia for about 15 years. My research focuses on the use of social media and narrative as a way of engaging in professional critique. My research draws on multi-modal discourse analysis and critical, anti-oppressive, post-colonial and feminist approaches.
