Luca Savioli

Luca Savioli was born in Rome and completed his studies in Italy and France. He obtained a double master’s degree in history from La Sapienza University in Rome and the EHESS in Paris. From then on, his studies focused on labour history. In Paris, he conducted research on the role of migrant workers within the CGT union in Citroën’s Parisian factories. He is in his first year of a doctoral program at Concordia University in Montreal. Under the supervision of Professor Steven High, he is working on a research project on industrial areas in the peripheries of two European capitals: Rome and Paris. He is part of the international Deindustrialization and the Politics of Our Time (DePOT) project.
