Dr. Arthur McIvor‘s main research interests lie in the history of work, occupational health and disability. His new book Working Lives: Work in Britain since 1945 has recently been published by Palgrave Macmillan (2013). It draws upon oral testimonies extensively to explore the changing nature and meanings of work since Second World War. His previous books include Organised Capital(1996) and A History of Work in Britain, 1880-1950 (2001).
