Evan Wolfe is an oral historian and community-engaged researcher based in Chelsea, Quebec. They recently graduated from Minerva University with a BA in Design Across Humanities, where their work focused on public history, ethnographic research, and digital storytelling. In Berlin, they conducted 15 oral history interviews and created a public history walking tour connecting the persecution of queer people under Paragraph 175 to contemporary substance use patterns and harm reduction. Their capstone research used ethnographic methods to examine identity construction and historical narratives within British Columbia’s silviculture industry. A certified massage therapist with ties to Montreal’s harm reduction community, they are currently developing research on substance use among men who have sex with men in Montreal.
