Encre Noire

Encre Noire is a non-profit organization dedicated to media arts and cultural creation, founded by award-winning filmmaker Henri Pardo (TIFF Amplify Voices Award, Charles Officer Award). Our mission is to establish Afro-descendant narrative sovereignty within Canadian media. We collect, archive, and teach members of our communities how to transform oral heritage into professional narrative works, so that Black stories are told by those who live them.
