Student Affiliate
David Vaillant is a Master’s candidate in History at the Université de Montréal, where he also completed an Honours Bachelor’s degree in 2025. He specializes in Quebec queer history, the history of social movements, and student history. Under the supervision of Catherine Larochelle, his thesis examines the Association communautaire homosexuelle à l’Université de Montréal (1976–1986). In 2025, he published two articles in the journal Histoire Engagée that invite a rethinking of how queer knowledge is constructed in historical scholarship.
