Associate Director

Valentina Davila is an architectural historian originally from Venezuela with a strong interest in the connections between space, memory, and social justice. She recently completied a PhD in Architecture at McGill University, where her dissertation explored how domestic workers in Venezuela have shaped the country’s landscape, both physically and culturally. Her research draws on ethnography and oral history as a key methods, centring the voices and experiences of women whose contributions are too often left out of official narratives.

Valentina is deeply committed to inclusivity and equality, values that guide both her research and her approach to leadership. She believes in creating spaces—academic, institutional, and public—where diverse stories are heard and respected. Her work has been published and recognized, and she has been actively involved in projects that bridge academic research and community engagement. With a background that blends architectural history, storytelling, and social justice, Valentina brings an interdisciplinary perspective to her work.
She is passionate about supporting others in their creative and scholarly pursuits and about fostering environments where shared knowledge leads to meaningful change.
