COHDS is delighted to announce that we are now accepting proposals for the 13th Emerging Scholars Symposium on Oral History, Digital Storytelling, and Creative Practice, to be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Concordia University.

This year’s theme, “Where Is the Joy in Oral History? Emotional Currents in Oral History and Storytelling,” invites participants to reflect on how joy, whether subtle, unexpected, or deeply transformative, shapes our research, our methods, and the stories we share. We welcome proposals for scholarly papers, research-creation projects, performances, and other experimental or interdisciplinary formats that engage with the emotional dimensions of oral history and storytelling.

Submissions are encouraged in English or French, and we look forward to showcasing a wide range of perspectives from emerging scholars and creators.
Submission deadline: February 1, 2026.

For full details, please consult the Call for Proposals. We look forward to reading your contributions!
