Pria Ranganath is an architect and practice-based researcher working at the intersection of housing systems, building diagnostics, and community-centered decision-making.

Her work focuses on what happens before intervention—how housing problems are understood, framed, and acted on in real-world conditions. Drawing on extensive field-based experience across Canadian housing contexts, she examines the gap between lived realities and system-level responses, particularly in social and community housing.

Through her work with Espace Créatif and Shelter Projekt, she explores intermediary approaches that translate lived and technical conditions into actionable insights for policy, financing, and retrofit decisions. Her current research interests include diagnostic-first methods, participatory processes, and the role of digital and AI-assisted tools in supporting more equitable and effective housing outcomes
