Dr Hannah Kaarina Yoken is a gender, media and oral historian with expertise in social movement history. Her research to date includes transnational second-wave feminist activism in the Nordic region, Finnish anti-nuclear protest of the 1980s, and post-war social change as reflected in the Finnish tabloid media. Yoken is the chair of the Finnish Oral History Network, a founding member of the Nordic Oral History Centre and an elected member of Young Academy Finland.
