Louis-Thomas Kelly

Louis-Thomas Kelly is an urbanist and heritage researcher working as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Université du Québec à Montréal/Réseau Villes Régions Monde. Dr. Kelly holds degrees in political science (B.A., McGill University), urban planning/design (MSc, University of Groningen), and memory/heritage studies (PhD, University of Amsterdam). His doctoral project explores participatory art/design and memory activism in relation to Montreal’s dissonant colonial heritage. His current research pivots towards everyday heritage, research-creation, and public art as realms for memory-work, examining how ordinary urban spaces and creative practices can become sites for engaging with the past.
