Community Organization
Théâtre de la flamme is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and producing theatre for young audiences (children and teenagers). Its debut production, The Blossoming of Memories, was presented at Maison Théâtre and Illusion Théâtre, as well as through the CAM en tournée program. The company was co-founded by Carolina Chmielewski and Cleo da Fonseca, two artists of Brazilian origin who live and work in Montreal. Théâtre de la flamme’s mission is rooted in a single question: how can we give voice to the youth of today on stage ? The company seeks to engage in a dialogue with children and teens using a theatrical language that is both hopeful and complex, while keeping the youth at the very heart of the story.
