Zeina El Omari is a PhD candidate in the Individualized Program in Social Sciences at the School of Graduate Studies at Concordia University. Her interdisciplinary project explores the food-growing practices of immigrant and refugee women in Montreal. Her research is informed by critical refugee studies, feminist studies, food studies, human geography, and community-based practices, and it draws on the qualitative methods of oral history, art-based narratives, and visual and auto-ethnography.
