Student Affiliate

Sidra Mughal is a graduate student in the MA program in Religion and Cultures at Concordia University, with interdisciplinary interests in religion, gender, climate change, and displacement. Her research examines how women and children experience and respond to climate-induced displacement in interior Sindh, Pakistan, centering locally grounded narratives through interviews and case-based research.

Sidra brings experience across academic, international, and community-based settings. She has worked as a Teaching Assistant in Religious Studies and as a Program Coordination Assistant at the International Civil Aviation Organization, where she supported international programs through coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

Alongside her academic work, Sidra is an active writer and journalist, contributing to The Link and other platforms. She also pursues creative writing and poetry that intertwine personal experience with global themes. Her background in long-term caregiving and community-based work informs her people-centered approach to research, ethical engagement, and storytelling. She is particularly interested in oral history, public-facing scholarship, and collaborative humanities research.
