Round-table with Allegra Chiarella, Evan Wolfe and Freyja Chapman
This panel will showcase student oral history research on three distinctive communities and subcultures: members of a bike courier cooperative in Montréal (Allegra), treeplanters in northern B.C (Evan) and the Mining Injustice Solidarity Network (MISN) in Toronto (Freyja). The three panelists will bring their work into conversation on shared themes of the insider/outsider dynamics, the role of storytelling in constructing worldviews and identities, and oral transmission of knowledge common across these groups. Bring questions and embrace your curiosity: after presentations, the floor will be opened to the audience for discussion.
