Lambert Muir is a Masters student in the department of religions and cultures at Concordia University. Born in Montreal, his interest lies in the particular ways these questions play out in the particular context of the Province of Quebec.

A Study of Religious Care Providers in Quebec

Lambert Muir’s project focuses on how spiritual care providers work to align patients’ stay in health care institutes, focusing on hospitals, with their religious and spiritual beliefs. Beyond this, the project aims to investigate how the work is carried out in the increasingly but uncertainly secularized environment that is Quebec’s health care network, as well as examining the psychological and emotional effects the work may have on spiritual care providers. Ultimately, this project proposes to correct an oversight in the literature on spiritual care providers in Canada as there is simply little to no published research of this type in the Province of Quebec
