Geneviève Riou is a second year Master’s student in Concordia University’s History department, where she is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Steven High. Her thesis research is on the transnational history of Haitian-Montrealers and their alignment with social justice movements in New York, Montreal, Chile, Paris and Cuba during the 1960s-1970s. Her research interests include Relational theory, memory studies and the history of Haitian migration.
