Geneviève Riou is a Master’s student in Concordia University’s History department, where she is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Steven High. Her research interests include Haitian community narratives in Montreal, the ways cultural practices and exchanges play in disrupting national, oppressive borders, and more broadly select topics in Caribbean history. Geneviève holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in the History of Art from the University of Winnipeg (Treaty 1 Territory).
