DESCRIPTION:With Steven High \n  \nThis workshop will provide you with some of the fundamentals in the interdisciplinary field of oral history. Participants will learn about an oral history approach to interviewing\, ethics in research\, and the many ways that oral histories are shared with the public. This workshop is strongly recommended to all new affiliates\, as it is intended to present the methodology and ethics followed by our Centre. \nSteven High is lead co-director of COHDS and has published extensively on oral history methodology\, theory and ethics. His books include Oral History at the Crossroads\, Beyond Testimony and Trauma: Oral History in the Aftermath of Mass Violence\, and Deindustrializing Montreal: Entangled Histories of Race\, Residence and Class.
