BBR, short for\u00a0<i>Broke Broke Recitation<\/i>, is my translation of the Mandarin term \u788e\u788e\u5538 (<i>siu siu nian<\/i>), a phrase commonly used in Taiwan and China to describe how women chatter incessantly about daily and seemingly banal trivialities.
