{"id":24398,"date":"2025-10-16T16:58:19","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T20:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/storytelling.concordia.ca\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=24398"},"modified":"2025-11-05T14:10:51","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T19:10:51","slug":"my-dear-theo","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/storytelling.concordia.ca\/fr\/event\/my-dear-theo\/","title":{"rendered":"My Dear Theo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>With Alisa Kovalenko and St\u00e9phane Siohan<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"350\" data-end=\"627\">The Chair in European Intellectual History at the Munk School, <strong data-start=\"413\" data-end=\"428\">Marci Shore<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong data-start=\"456\" data-end=\"516\">Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling (COHDS)<\/strong>, invites you to the first screening of <em data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"570\">My Dear Th\u00e9o<\/em> (2025) with <strong data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"602\">Alisa Kovalenko<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"626\">St\u00e9phane Siohan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"1067\"><strong>Alisa Kovalenko<\/strong> is an award-winning Ukrainian documentary filmmaker and former soldier. After documenting the early stages of the war in Donbas\u2014where she was captured by Russian-backed separatists\u2014she later joined the Ukrainian Volunteer Army following the full-scale invasion in 2022. Her deeply personal film <em data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"954\">My Dear Th\u00e9o<\/em> began as a video diary for her son, created from the front lines to capture \u201ca landscape of beauty and death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1367\"><strong>St\u00e9phane Siohan<\/strong>, her partner, is a senior French journalist and filmmaker based in Kyiv since 2013, and one of the foremost international correspondents covering Ukraine.
