Eleusina is situated in Western Attika and has undergone various phases of (de)industrialisation since the late 19th century. The Openeleusis team has worked on the industrial culture of Eleusina through participant observation, workshops, individual biographical interviews, focus groups and ethnographic filmmaking. It is a digital space, a living library and memory bank of the city, which presents in an inventive way the material resulting from the historical and ethnographic research in order to \u2018return it back\u2019 to the community.<\/p>\n<p>The OPENELEUSIS archive includes texts, videos and documents such as photographs, videos, maps, testimonies, interviews, etc. To have an intergenerational approach in the field, our team organised docu-animation workshops\u00a0for children aged 8-12 in Elefsina. Three different teams (schools) were trained in oral history and stop-motion animation techniques for one week each.
