Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement r\u00e9unit <\/span>Lea<\/span> Kabiljo<\/span> et <\/span>Kelann<\/span> Currie-Williams, praticiennes d’histoire orale et photographes, <\/span>qui\u00a0 utilisent<\/span> l’approche multidimensionnelle de \u201cl\u2019entrevue-photo\u2019\u2019 dans leur travail respectif. Nous inviterons les participant.es \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir sur la relation entre les images et la narration dans le cadre de l\u2019entrevue d\u2019histoire orale. Quels sont les avantages et les tensions li\u00e9s \u00e0 la combinaison de l\u2019histoire orale et de la photographie en tant que m\u00e9thodologie d\u2019entrevue ? Comment les photographies et les albums photos transforment-ils l\u2019espace de l\u2019entrevue et aident-ils les interview\u00e9s \u00e0 se souvenir diff\u00e9remment ? \u00c0 travers des ateliers et des discussions, nous partagerons diff\u00e9rentes approches pour int\u00e9grer la photographie dans les entrevues d\u2019histoire orale \u2013 qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse d\u2019introduire des photographies existantes dans l\u2019entrevue ou de capturer des portraits des interview\u00e9s.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kelann Currie-Williams<\/b> is a writer and PhD student at Concordia University\u2019s Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture, working at the intersections of Visual Culture Studies, History, Black Studies, and Cultural Studies. Kelann\u2019s research focuses on the image-making and photographic preservation histories of the Afro-Caribbean diaspora in Canada from the late 19th to late 20th centuries. Their work has appeared in Urban History Review, the Canadian Journal of History, TOPIA: Canadian Journal of Cultural Studies, and Philosophy of Photography. Kelann was a 2023-2024 scholar-in-residence at the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Lea Kabiljo<\/b>, assistant professor of art education at Universit\u00e9 Laval, is a multidisciplinary researcher with expertise in the arts, education, and oral history. She holds a PhD in Art Education from Concordia University and has a particular interest in integrating photography and oral history into the research-creation process. Her research explores the educational potential of this multidisciplinary approach in art education. With experience teaching in school, community, and university settings, Lea is actively engaged in teacher training, with a special focus on the development of socio-emotional skills. She is also recognized for her expertise in oral history and has led numerous research projects in Canada and internationally.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
