Drawing on new cartographic theories and practices, his Ph.D. research focuses on studying the life stories of individuals who experienced death in the context of migration. He proposes that cartography, through the mobilization of multiple analytical and artistic displays, can help understand that death is not the end of a story but the beginning and extension of many others. Additionally, Jos\u00e9 holds a BA in Human Geography from The Metropolitan Autonomous University in Mexico City and a Master&rsquo;s degree in Geomatics from CONACYT\u2019s Research Centre of Geospatial Information.
