CKUT provides alternative music, news and spoken word programming to the city of Montreal and surrounding areas, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Hear us at 90.3 MHz on the FM dial, 91.7 by cable, or listen on-line. CKUT is made up of over 300 volunteers working with a staff of coordinators, not just to make creative and insightful radio programming, but also to manage the station. The station operates on a collective management system that includes volunteers in decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>CKUT is currently developing an oral history project, \u201cAn Intergenerational Conversation: The Role of Nuns in Montreal from the Quiet Revolution to the present\u201d, which will trace the important legacies that nuns have left in Quebec and more specifically, Montreal. The traditional Catholic nun is part of an aging population whose experience and impact on society is largely undocumented. The project will be spearheaded by Older Women Live (OWL), a monthly radio show on CKUT 90.3FM hosted by a feminist collective of senior women that focuses on issues that they face. It will highlight the contributions of nuns to Quebec society and women\u2019s rights, and give an opportunity for nuns to share their stories and experiences to a wider, diverse public.
