Her extensive experimentation with storytelling, play and improvised theatre aims for individual and collective meaning-making and empowerment. Her dissertation Oral history and performance in the aftermath of large scale violence : an epistemological contribution won the Concordia University Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation Prize \u2013 social sciences category. She was one of the 2017 Concordia public scholars and the first John F. Lemieux fellow for genocide studies in 2018.
