Ses recherches portent sur le genre et la politique en R\u00e9publique populaire de Chine et au Canada, avec une attention particuli\u00e8re au plaidoyer men\u00e9 par des parents canadiens d\u2019enfants et de jeunes transgenres. Dans ses travaux, elle analyse les relations entre le genre et les institutions politiques \u00e0 travers le prisme des liens familiaux.
