Its work focuses on memory, oral narrative, human rights, and social transformation through artistic, pedagogical, and community practices.<\/p>\n<p>We work to preserve and disseminate life stories, especially those that promote social justice, collective memory, and the defense of human rights, with a differential and gender-based approach. We understand that telling and listening to stories is a profoundly transformative act, capable of dignifying people and rebuilding social ties.<\/p>\n<p>Otras Voces brings together art, law, and pedagogy to generate processes of research and social intervention. At the heart of our transformative practice is history told from human experience, symbolically expressed through words, art, or pedagogical action.<\/p>\n<p>We develop research processes associated with the culture of peace, in which communities collectively build knowledge and strategies to improve their living conditions.
