My research program explored the complex relationships woven between soccer and the pervasive violence within Colombian society. Simultaneously, I investigated a little-known and often scorned form of women’s leadership within the sport, a struggle that captivated me due to the unwavering determination of these women to carve out a space for themselves in a world openly hostile to their integration. For the past 20 years, I have resided in Montreal, where I work as an independent researcher and a cultural and artistic promoter of soccer in both Canada and
Colombia, as well as other regions. In 2011, I published “Futbol desde la tribuna. Pasiones y fantasias” (Ed. Silaba, Medellin), later translated and published in French as “Football et érotisme au masculin.
