She completed her M.A. in Human Rights and the Arts at Bard College, NY, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Humanities at Concordia University in Montreal. With a background in urban studies, migration studies, and interdisciplinary research, Katya now focuses on the contestations surrounding public history, reconciliation, and memory-making in post- conflict and post-migrant societies.
