She completed her BA in marketing with an emphasis in international studies. She has a background in the creative field, working primarily as an art director on a wide range of projects and more recently as a researcher.<br \/>\nHer work lies at the intersection of mixed media art and food history. She has explored these themes through two documentaries: one examining how the guerrilla war in Colombia has impacted the gastronomy of the Amazorinoquian region, and another investigating how the Lebanese community in Montreal uses cuisine to maintain ties to their roots and foster healing during the immigration process.<\/p>\n<p>Her current project focuses on the foodways and foodscapes of the Colombian community in Quebec.
