itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Research assistant position for the SSHRC funded project, \u201cAlternative visions: the politics of motherhood and family among Indigenous, immigrant, racialized and low-income activist women\u2019s groups in Canada, 1960s-1980s,\u201d with Margaret Little, Queen\u2019s (PI) and Lynne Marks, UVic and Sarah Nickel, U of A (CIs).\u00a0\u00a0This project explores\u00a0women&rsquo;s\u00a0Indigenous, immigrant and welfare rights organizing from the late 1960s to the early 1990s in Canada.\u00a0\u00a0We are currently seeking an RA in Montreal who is bilingual and with experience in oral history to conduct oral history interviews with welfare rights and immigrant activists in Montreal, or Quebec more generally. \u00a0We are particularly interested in interviewing women activists in the Haitian community, but are also interested in interviewing women who were active in other immigrant communities and or doing welfare rights work sometime between the 1960s and early 1990s.\u00a0\u00a0Current graduate students in History or a related field, or those with an MA in History preferred.\u00a0\u00a0Wage rate is $25\/hour.\u00a0\u00a0If you are
