Jacob is a visual artist, researcher and educator from Montreal. His work combines participatory/collaborative exploration with collage and craft practice, most often to examine notions of the human-animal relationship and the Anthropocene. Other areas of interest include the post-industrial landscape, urban wildlife and ecology, and the intersection of nature and culture within museum spaces. His 2018 Masters thesis in Art Education entitled Dead or Alive: Animal Bodies in the Museum, examined museum taxidermy as repositories of complex histories. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Concordia’s Art Education department.
