I have a BA and a Master in Cultural Anthropology which I achieved at the University of Bologna, Italy. My BA dissertation concentrated on the cultural identity of the Jews of Thessaloniki, Greece, where I spent one year.
My Master dissertation title was: “The Jewish community of Montreal and les accommodements raisonnables. Issues on perceptions.” I have been studying in the Phd program in Religion at Concordia University for three years. My research project focused on the study of the building of the cultural identity of the young Jews of Montreal. I am planning to make a short documentary about this topic. My research interests are: anthropology of religion, urban anthropology, visual anthropology, Jewish culture, the Holocaust, cultural identities, and oral history. I am also part of the team working on the project: « From Balconville to Condoville? The politics of urban change in post-industrial Montreal. » Moreover, I volunteer at Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre as video archival assistant.
