Faith Paré is a poet and performer of Afro-Guyanese ancestry. Her writing has appeared in Arc Poetry Magazine, GUTS, Room, Shameless, and elsewhere. She is completing her Honours Bachelor of Arts at Concordia University with research interests in archival studies and the interdisciplinarity and transnational literary production of Afro-diasporic people from the modernist period to present. Faith is a research assistant with the SHRCC-funded SpokenWeb national partnership which has supported her emerging oral historical practice, including as an editor and curator of new generation respondents for the oral history speaker series “Desire Lines: Mapping the metadata of Toronto arts publishing”, supported by the Art Gallery of York University, Artexte, and SpokenWeb.
