Student

Esther is a forth year urban planning student in Concordia University. Passionate about the wellbeing of the society and transitional justice, she leverages her skills and knowledge obtained in urban planning to learn about the history and struggles of marginalized communities in the city.

Since the summer of 2021, Esther has been working with the Montréal Chinatown Working Group to promote civic engagement in perserving the tangible and intangible heritage of Montréal’s Chinatown. Under Dr. Cynthia Hammond’s supervision, Esther joined the project La ville extraordinaire in 2022 to learn from older Montréalers’ urban knowledge—more specifically, the Asian community in Montréal.
