The main bulk of his research centers on the Holocaust, especially forced labor camps in the area of Poznań, Poland. He has also worked with Holocaust survivors, and is interested in the issues of ethnic and cultural identity, nationalism, as well as intellectual currents that prefigured the rise of fascism and Nazism. He is currently gearing up for future work on both case-specific and theoretical aspects of ethnic cleansing and mass violence.
