Clara Haskell is a graduate student in the Art History department at Concordia University. Her undergraduate studies were also done at Concordia University where she majored in Photography and minored in Art History. Her research focuses on photographic returns projects done with Inuit post-secondary students, namely two projects entitled Project Naming and Views from the North. She is interested in how the archive can be given back to a community and used for healing and decolonization. She has been doing interviews for her research and is looking forward to working more closely with the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling, which she believes ties closely to her research. Outside of the university context, she coordinates the Junior Youth Empowerment Program, that works with young people ages 11-15 across Montreal and assists them to learn about how to use their capacities and talents to be of service to their community.
