Interviewing and working with people who have fled situations of genocide, war, and other mass violence necessarily involves asking questions and delving into experiences which can be very difficult to recount. The availability of psychological support for all project participants and team members is a central principle in the CURA project’s ethics protocol, and therefore it is imperative that all interviewers present the various options to all interviewees clearly and with sensitivity.
